Medical Electronics Technology, MET, is a peer-reviewed, open access platform dedicated to the publication of high-quality articles that showcase the design, development, and application of hardware and software innovations in medical electronics. It serves as a comprehensive resource for researchers, engineers, and developers working on the creation, customization, and integration of medical electronic systems, devices, and tools.
We welcome contributions that advance open-source hardware and software, particularly those that improve healthcare delivery, diagnostics, rehabilitation, patient monitoring, and biomedical research. Submissions may include novel hardware designs, software algorithms, embedded systems, sensor integration, signal processing techniques, wearable technologies, and low-cost or distributed manufacturing approaches such as 3D printing.
Our mission is to promote:
Accessibility – All articles are freely and immediately available to the global research community.
Discoverability – We ensure that your work is easily found and downloaded by practitioners and researchers worldwide.
Citations and Recognition – Each published article receives a DOI and is indexed to enhance visibility and academic impact.
Clarity – We support authors in preparing clear, comprehensive manuscripts that are easy to understand and reproduce.
Rigorous Review – All submissions are evaluated by experts in medical electronics and open-source hardware/software.
Reproducibility – We encourage detailed documentation to allow others to replicate and build upon your work.
Medical Electronics Technology, MET, embraces contributions from all areas of biomedical engineering, including but not limited to wearable health monitors, physiological sensors, assistive and rehabilitative devices, lab-on-a-chip systems, and diagnostic instruments. We particularly value submissions that address challenges in resource-limited settings or improve accessibility and affordability in healthcare.
All published hardware and software must be shared under an open license to foster collaboration, transparency, and innovation in the medical technology community.
